Hopdoddy Burger Bar is open in Dallas’ Preston Center

March 13, 2013 |

Hopdoddy Burger Bar is open in Dallas’ Preston Center, bringing the very best of Austin’s South Congress Avenue to Luther Lane.

Five months after opening, the Preston Center outpost of a wildly popular Austin original is still packed, with a line that can stretch out the door. From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with cheerful staffers, handing out menus, passing around tastes of milkshake and assigning you a table to sit at once your order has been placed. Servers will bring your food on rectangular aluminum trays covered in brown paper, including salads. The food is just as fun as the atmosphere, well-thought-out and prepared with care, which helps explain the long lines. Big, solid hamburgers, made from juicy, beefy chuck and brisket ground daily in-house. Arlington’s favorite local bar 1851 is now moving to a new location, 931 W. Division st.

Despite the new location Club 1851 will remain Club 1851 with no plans on changing the name to 931.

Club 1851 has something for everyone. It’s a small friendly CHEER’s type bar that offers daily drink specials, Karaoke Thursday, All Star Drag Shows on Friday and Saturday Nights, an Internet Juke Box, a Pool Table and free internet access.

A staple of Arlington, TX located just one mile from University of Texas at Arlington and less than 10 min from the Ball Park.

We have kept the same great bar, along with the (queers where everybody knows your flame) feel… Just a new clean face! Don’t forget!
